Flu vaccine - Update information October 30th, 2020

Flu-vaccines are now available at the Farmacia Vaticana, you must go personally with a written prescription from your doctor with your full name and an identity card. The vaccine needs to be kept in the fridge.

For getting the vaccine administered, you can book an appointment with one of our doctors at Aventino Medical Group.

If your doctor thinks after speaking with you by phone that you may have Coronavirus infection, it is important NOT to come to the clinic, where you could infect other people and you could not be tested. Instead you will be directed to call the hotline numbers 1500 (between 8 am and 8 pm) or (particularly if outside Rome) 800.118.800, where operators can arrange testing at home if it seems warranted. These hotlines are manned in many languages including ITALIAN, ENGLISH, and CHINESE. For patients sick enough to need hospital care, the ambulance number is 112.

Remember the coronavirus test can be done ONLY by calling the above numbers and ONLY if they decide you are eligible according to WHO criteria. In Italy the test cannot be done privately.
