The ambulance team will take you to the nearest public hospital with an emergency room, as directed by the emergency call center. Depending on the medical condition, one hospital may be more suitable than another (for example, S. Eugenio Hospital is well-equipped for severe burns).

If you are traveling by car or taxi, some of the public hospitals that can handle emergencies include Policlinico Gemelli at Trionfale, Policlinico Umberto I near Termini Station, San Camillo Hospital in Monteverde, and Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital on the Gianicolo.
