Education and Qualifications
Nico Naumann was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he obtained his scientific diploma from the Alexander von Humboldt High School in 1980. In October, he began military service as a nurse and started learning Italian, with the goal of studying at the University of Pavia.
In 1989, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery.
He returned to Germany for his specialization, where, after a year of General Surgery, he continued in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St Elisabeth Hospital in Cologne.
From 1996, he worked for two years with Professor Ian Craft’s team, one of the pioneers in Assisted Reproduction, at the London Gynaecology and Fertility Centre.
He furthered his training in fertility surgery at Columbia University in New York and Stanford University in Palo Alto. Since 1999, he has lived and worked in Rome.
